COMMON Interview QUESTIONS
Although you cannot predict exactly what questions you will be asked during your police interview, you can still prepare for potential questions. Some common questions are listed below to help you practice and feel more confident walking into your interview.
Could you please tell us about yourself?
Why do you want to be in law enforcement?
What have you done to prepare yourself for the job?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
What are the most important characteristics for a police officer?
Why do you want to work for our agency?
You will also be asked situational questions where you will be given a scenario and asked how you would respond. The most important thing is the process you use to evaluate the situation and prioritize what needs to be done. Answers to these questions cannot be memorized.
